The stable celebrated a memorable Thursday with an interstate double, as MACEDON MISSION and NIHANCAN both broke through for impressive maiden victories in Queensland and Victoria.
At Ipswich, 2-year-old MACEDON MISSION relished the testing heavy conditions to claim the SACRED ELIXIR QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap in a determined fashion under Jaden Lloyd. With Queensland continuing to battle persistent rain, the youngster showed toughness and professionalism to handle the difficult track conditions, while also securing valuable QTIS bonus prizemoney for connections. A fantastic effort by Geoff Dixon and Archie McColm, who have done a tremendous job holding the fort in Queensland through some challenging weather conditions.
Meanwhile, at Seymour, NIHANCAN delivered a strong staying performance to secure his maiden win in the 3-year-old event. Ridden confidently by Dylan Dunn, the gelding travelled comfortably throughout before finishing off powerfully in the straight, rewarding the patience of the stable and connections. The performance suggested there is plenty more to come as he continues to improve with racing and distance.
