Following a standout week for the stable, three runners were able to get their noses in front, marking a treble of well-earned victories. Two winners headlined a memorable mid-week meeting at Sandown for connections, while the third brought further success at Yarra Valley on Saturday, with celebrations shared on course.

Winsome Star

Putting his nose down at the crucial moment, Winsome Star dug deep in the closing stages to claim victory in the Benchmark 66 over 1300 metres. Given a peach of a ride by Daniel Stackhouse, the five-year-old chestnut by Star Turn showed admirable grit and determination to deliver for his owners.

Urban Outlook

Expertly ridden by Jordan Childs, the stayer powered clear of the field over the 3000 metres, stopping the clock just shy of the track record in a dominant 2.4-length victory. The six-year-old gelding by Cityscape proved far too strong, his European form shining through in a deserved win for his owners.

That’s All Good

In the final race at Yarra Valley, That’s All Good delivered a polished performance under the guidance of Liam Riordan, surging clear to score a convincing 3.4-length victory over 1200 metres. The All Too Hard mare proved too strong in the concluding stages, capping off the day with a well-deserved win for her owners.

Notable successes:

Lady Thinkabell resumed her campaign with a strong second placing at Kyneton on Tuesday, 10th February. Tackling the tight-turning circuit first-up, she settled midfield and travelled comfortably under a hold throughout. When the field straightened, she finished off powerfully, making significant ground on a day that favoured those up on speed. Closing in on the winner late, it was an encouraging return, and she’s certainly one to follow into her next start.
